Alumni, Friends & Prospective Students
We welcome your interest in Emory.
If you are an alum or a friend of Emory, take a minute to see what we are offering the current prehealth students.
You, the students of the class of 2009 and 2010 together, worked to make this office a reality. You spoke out at Town Hall meetings, to Deans, the Provost and the President and you made your need clear. You worked with us in our office, through student organizations, through the SGA to help us pilot the Composite Letter for the Class of 2009 and 2010. We thank you and we hope you will continue to stay involved. For other alums, wander through our pages. If you are in the health care profession and would like to be involved in our efforts, and to contribute to the futures of Emory College students, drop us a line. We welcome your participation.
Friends and Prospective students: Explore the range of programs we offer for students interested in pursuing a career in the health sciences. The PHMO is a one stop office to serve the needs of students interested in the health sciences. We offer year-by year advising, support, access to Opportunities and a community for our students.
Still in High School and wondering what to take?
AP courses are great because they will help you do well in your first semester in college. Many medical schools do not accept AP credit and depending on your individual experience we may advise you to take the science core courses required for health professions schools at Emory. AP policies and Transfer credit policies are listed on the Admissions website.
Transferring to Emory?
We welcome our transfer students to campus twice a year. If you are a prehealth student, your first stop should be our office. Stop by to say hello and get connected to people, to opportunities and to advice. We can also help you with your transfer credits. The key for transfer students is to keep up their momentum and pace, whether it is their coursework or their other activities: research, volunteering, shadowing, etc.
